Well, I managed to fall asleep at a dinner party last night. This is a new depth of exhaustion, lazyness and not caring about what people think any more, as far as I can see. More embarressingly, it was a lovely group of people, with enough "nice-friends-of-M-who-don't-know-me-very-well-yet" to make it mortifying - if I'd known everyone there really well they'd have known it wasn't like me, but now I don't know what they must think. And the worse thing is, I never noticed - I remember being very confused that it was 1 o'clock, and thinking time had gone quickly and wasn't there supposed to be coffee at some point - and noone pointed out what had happened before I got home, so I couldn't even apologise as I really didn't know I'd been asleep for hours.

Sigh. Work done this week = 0. People are dropping out of my pub collecting as well, so I doubt that organising campus instead of doing maths was even worth it :-( If any one sees my motivation, can they send it back to me, please? Or even just my ability to stay awake in company would be good...

Haven't seen your motivation, but we did see some of your pub collectors in the FSG yesterday evening, who we chatted to, encouraged, and gave some money to. They were doing a sterling job, and we got to see your name on the licence.

Falling asleep

Don't worry about it. My thought (as the host of said dinner party) was if she can fall asleep at the table (which can't have been very comfortable) then she must really need to sleep. I know how busy Cambridge can be and how exhausting. Don't be embarrassed about it.
