Am attempting to make my mum's stew recipe. However, due to a combination of
a) Me not thinking that the last time I was involved in making stew it was for 9 people, not 3
b) The inconvenience of vegitables... I mean, you have to buy them in integer units of one or greater!
...I now seem to have rather a lot of stew bubbling away...
I don't like being wasteful. On the bright side, I haven't wasted much money (root veg being cheap) but it always seems a terrible shame. I think getting the amount right is the main problem with my cooking.
