That was So Much Fun. Thank you to everyone who managed to fight their way to Coventry to bravely ignore the mizzling rain and continue to BBQ and croquet in an inspiringly English way (or an inspiringly German way, in Jochen's case)
It has all merged into a great swirl of fun in my mind. I remember going to pick Alison up from the coach station without my phone, a pleasent lunch, Naath and RJK turning up early because their train had been late, wandering down to the shops with Richard, Alison and Mobbsy arriving and giving me the most fabulous victorian sugar tongs, managing to give away some books, also managing to buy and be given some more books, a game of diamont, a game of metro, a late night slightly druken game of Apples to Apples, croquet in the rain, BBQ in the rain, Lois completely lost in Harry Potter for the entire party, Mark R falling asleep on the sofa, late night drunken conversations round the sofa bed, so many wonderful people all In Coventry! In My House! SimonT, who also brought Jack and the lovely liverdor, who I have now met in person, Genuine Coventry people arriving (including a co-worker of Matthew's) Elly and Nick and Sam and Ralph and Cathy and Kate and Paul and Alex and Rachel and Mark H and Mark W and Mark R and Ian, even though he was nearly in America, and Elise and Robert, and a swirl of pimms and cava cocktails and BBQ food and pizza and garlic bread and bacon butties and eating and drinking and Adam bought me a CULES badge :-D :-D which I amused everyone by wearing on my pyjamas, and suddenly it was sunday afternoon and it was _sunny_ and Elise and Matthew played croquet while I dozed on the grass.
Sadly I wish I was dozing in the grass right now. Work is not being hugely productive.
