Tired. Doing stuff other than work is wearing me out at the moment, but it will be much better now M's gone away to the states, especially when we actually have the bones of a wedding sorted, budgetted and agreed on. May have made some progress on that today, but have a feeling that getting my hopes up too soon is a Bad Thing, as it will either be too expensive, or booked, or just Not Possible.
Today I woke up at 5.30 to drive M down to the station to get the train to Heathrow. The Heathrow express is such a scandelous rip off! Still, the extra half hour in bed may almost have been worth it. Then I decided that I wasn't going to get back to sleep, and so went to Tescos, where I despared over mothers day cards, bought some sandwitch stuff, and gave up on the bring and share and bought a pair of non-wheat free, half non-vegitarian quiches. I will do better next week, I promise. I was also surprised that you didn't seem able to buy "congratulations on being pregnant" cards, as all the "baby" ones were gender specific. I mean, I have quite a superstitious world view myself, but I assumed the card industry jumped on any bandwagon it could create!
Hope, shower, read a book, didn't do the work I ment to, then to a lecture, an interesting couple of hours in the CUED library with the microfeeeeeeeeeesh reader :-) and then back to the whittle via a few chores. Afternoon could have been more productive, I'm worried that I haven't done the stuff I would have had to do by now if I had a supervisor meeting tomorrow morning and so am too deadline driven. Then again, am enjoying alter ego...
He's still on an aeroplane. (I hope!) Ah well.
