I have discovered a thing of great joy! It's a cheese slicer (one of the ones with a wire). And it makes slicing soft brie-like cheeses so unbelievably easy. I mean, I was expecting a cheese slicer to be good at slicing cheese. But this one makes exciting wafer thin slices with no effort at all. It's blissful. It's sexy. It's *rather cool*.

You have a point.

*hides arm twisted behind back and smiles*

Sally, you have taste. Cheese wire is sexy.

(although I have to say I'm more interested in the cheese....)

When brie is properly ripe you should be able to just leave the bread next to it and let the cheese spread itself out...

Mmm... /me fantasises about Tesco Finest* Eposse cheese.

* No I don't know what the footnote is either.

Those things are great; I bought my family one after the existing one died - but I'm the only one who uses it, so maybe should steal it from them. Hmmmmm.

We have one of those attached to a cheesboard... on the end of the wire there is a small wooden mouse... it disturbs me.
