Hmm, I am failing to write my yuletide story, and at some point I will need a beta reader or two...

So yuletide...

I'm doing yuletide!
4(17.4%)
I'm not doing yuletide!
19(82.6%)

And just so I don't get you to beta a story I'm writing for you...

My yuletide name is my LJ name
4(100.0%)

My yuletide name is not my LJ name, it is:

So beta-ing and general yuletide filter...

I'm doing yuletide, and if it's not for me I'll beta your story!
2(14.3%)
I'm not doing yuletide, but I'd beta your story.
12(85.7%)

ETA: The 'I'll beta your story' tickybox is there to mean 'if you set up a filter to talk about your yuletide story in more detail and it sounds like there's a cat in hells chance I understand the fandom you're writing in, I might then volunteer to beta your story'. But that was a bit long for an LJ poll box.

I'm assuming, here, that it's not possible to be doing yuletide while not knowing what this means 8-)

...except that I'd be a really bad choice given I am a) supposed to be writing thesis and b) have been known to more-or-less completely rewrite sentences in my head into what I thought they should have read.

I can remember once asking someone "have you stopped betaing your wife?", but not who. Perhaps it should be asked of emperor, given the above.

There's no option for "I have no idea what you are talking about!" Enjoy it though whatever it is.

Hi!

My journal is locked, and so I wanted to send along what I just posted.

"I'd like to rave again about the story I got -- it's still freaking me out just how perfect it is! It's RPF Werner Heisenberg (of the Uncertainty Principle) crossed lightly with Roger Zelazny's Chronicles of Amber. If you know anything about the troubled history of nuclear physics, and have ever read Nine Princes in Amber, well, it's a winner. This is tempting me to request Lord of Light next year, something I'd never considered, but now? Possibilities, possibilities... anyway, thanks, Atreic!! Here's the link: Complementarity, by atreic"

There are also a couple of lovely comments in my livejournal in response to the post I made on this on the 25th - if you want to read them, I'm happy to friend you, just let me know.

And thanks again!
