A plea.
I have a rather exciting folk dance festival coming up in February. And a not too small publicity budget to spend on advertising it. We can hopefully plaster the university, the town, and quite a few other places with posters and flyers of joy.

Except no one I know seems to have and time or ability to design posters and flyers of joy. Now LJ seems to me to be a mine of creative talent. On my friends page I know people with gorgeous user icons, people who take fabulous photographs, etc etc etc.

Now, I can't promise you a vast payment. But I can promise you my gratitude, a bottle of wine, and the CV points of being able to show your flyer produced in large numbers on expensive glossy paper.

I'd need something by mid January at the latest. This was my original vision for the flyers, which if it doesn't float your boat we could ignore completely and meet up to discuss what you actually wanted to do. It's a folk dance festival, and I thought that photographs of feet in dance shoes and strange musical instruments might make for a sexy flyer. I couldn't decide if it would be better done in a very classical style, with sepia photographs and violins and gillies and flowing fonts, or whether we should go for a very funky brightly coloured thing with electric violins and brightly coloured molly boots The committee decided it might be funky to have something that looked torn down the middle, with the traditional on one side being ripped away to the roots stuff on the other side.

Still interested? Please please please, leave me a comment.

I'm artistically a bit rubbish (although I may point Nini in your direction, as she's an artist) but I can offer other help - is IVFDF looking for stewards? I've stewarded the previous 2 Cambridge IVFDF events, and wouldn't object to stewarding this one.

Yes, that would be great!

I loose track of where you are - if you're still a Cambridge Uni person we have a deal that lets stewards in free, but if not it's the usual thing of stewards tickets being cheaper than real tickets and a free t-shirt

It'll be great to see you at IVFDF!
