Have just escaped from CULES committee meeting of doom. It would appear that by just being me, and having an entire society of my own to mold to my principles, I have created a monster. Maybe Stu is right and CULES is evil. I tried to set in place the ideas that we would turn noone away who wanted to be in the society, that anyone who wanted to act and help could do, and that everyone would be nice to each other. And the whole thing has snowballed to the point where it's on the verge of self destructing.

For a start it's getting Too Damn Big. We appear to have more people wanting to write plays than we have acters to fill, and so many acters wanting to act we could visit every special need school in Cambridgeshire once a week by this point next year. And wishy washy nice people being led by wishy washy nice people just means nothing happens, and wishy washy nice people being led by mean dictators just means people get upset

I hate committee meetings.

Still, the rest of my life is bonny and bright and good again... :-)

I think I escaped from that committee just in time. Glad the ranting's not worse.

Also glad your life is happy again - although a bit :-S on that one, still, as I'm sure you'll appreciate.

Not a hope...

... that we would ever let CULES founder. Not after all the work you've done for it, I'll be dam*ed if I see CULES be less than the great thing it is now. I don't care how many Freshers we get, or how many plays people want to write, or how many different forces are pulling us in different directions. Because I think that everyone in CULES still basically wants the same thing (even if they express it in different ways), and as long as that continues to be the case, CULES is going to keep on going.

And it won't be a monster :) We're with you on this one, Sally! The people are great, the society is great, and it will stay that way...
