Return of the poetry meme

Whose woods these are I think I know.
His house is in the village though;
He will not see me stopping here
To watch his woods fill up with snow.

My little horse must think it queer
To stop without a farmhouse near
Between the woods and frozen lake
The darkest evening of the year.

He gives his harness bells a shake
To ask if there is some mistake.
The only other sound's the sweep
Of easy wind and downy flake.

The woods are lovely, dark and deep.
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.

Oh, and plinthy hadn't ever seen the mad cartoons about why gay people and role players and catholics are evil So while I in no way support what is said on that site at all, I thought I ought to link to it so he knows what I was ranting about at the weekend.

I must look up the "If Jack Chick Worshipped Cthulhu" spoof sometime.

I wish I could re-find some really appalling pagan propaganda cartoons I saw once in the same sort of style as Chick tracts - the particularly amusing bit was the stroppy American householder defending his right to free speech in the form of having a huge inflatable Horned God complete with ten-foot phallus lashed to the roof of his house ;)

Hurrah for Chick Tracts! I like 'The Death Cookie' and 'Why is Mary Crying' best. The latter is really creepy - sort of like a Stalinist show trial...

Are the cartoons:
A) Written by serious Christians, in an attempt to spread their belief
or
B) Written as a piss-take of the beliefs of the serious Christians

For the life of me, I can't tell which...

(A). Well, serious Christian. Singular. (actually, I think he gets help with the lettering work these days.)

Actually I beleive he has about 3 cartoonists under him who do a lot of the work these days. Particularly on his bigger pieces of work (the Crusaders for example).

I particularly like the one in which it is explained that quarks aren't held together by gluons, but by God's love.

The bottom of this one. After dispensing with the theory of evolution in about four panels, the young christian student decides to move onto advanced physics. Which is rare - most loonie religious types at least have the wit to realise that they don't understand physics. Except the ones who think that the second law of thermodynamics disproves evolution. And Mr Jack Chick, apparently.
